Developing a design is a critical part of the creative process. This is the time when problems are solved easily on paper or with use of a model. It is much more cost effective to work in this manner rather than have problems occur in the field. Our concept artists are masters at giving the proper perspective so that client can “see” what it will look like once completed. Models take this a step further solving mass, width and height problems, Once a model is complete it can even be used to scale from during the construction process. Mock ups are another tool we use to work out texture and color issues so that there is no confusion of what is to be expected.
We ask two things of our clients, number one, provide a color sample. This may be a rock or a photograph of a favorite place. Number two, please provide a texture reference, a rock with a texture that is admired is critical for the simulation process. If you don’t like the color of it, that is okay, we can use a different color palette for the texture reference. Color and texture are important so that we are all thinking and looking at the same thing!
