Services & Projects

I’ve had the pleasure of working on a variety of projects throughout my career, in a wide variety of industries and settings. Bringing a fresh and unique creative perspective to new projects is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist. Below are some of the most prominent and common settings and types of projects I create realistic natural environments for. If you have questions about your own project, or if you don’t see anything similar here, please reach out. We’d love to talk to you about your creative and constructive needs.

Zoo Habitats

I’ve always been fascinated by the natural world. Building environments for animals over the years has given me an understanding of them I never would’ve known, like how far they can jump or dig. It’s very gratifying to know I’ve contributed in a way to help the species on the brink of extinction survive or be reintroduced into the wild after some successful breeding programs. People that visit zoos may never get to see a lion in Africa, but with careful design approaches we can simulate an African environment so visitors can see and enjoy what an African environment will look like right in their city.

Commercial & Structural

There are a lot of things to consider on commercial projects. Creating ambiance out of traditional building materials can solve a lot of visual or retaining issues. Rockwork, trees, and simulated earth textures can be used to hide unsightly utilities, retain hillsides, and provide safeguards for people moving throughout the area. All of this is possible without them noticing because it blends in seamlessly with the landscape. Let us give you a hand with your design to maintain a more natural and beautiful visual experience.

Interactive Environments

Education and entertainment have been used together now for quite some time and the new term is “edutainment.” Interactive environments have the opportunity to teach people through the senses: touch, vision, hearing, smell, and taste. Touching several textures and seeing various geologies can inspire young people to further explore what they have just witnessed. Interpretive signage can be useful in explaining what people can do to help with things like conservation, recycling, and cleaning up our oceans.

Monuments

Honoring people, places, history, and stories of all kinds, monuments are a beautiful and important part of our lives and our collective story. Bringing these memories to life is powerful and rewarding.

Residential Pools

Custom residential design is very rewarding on many levels. First and foremost is showing clients what can be done. Often they have no idea of the full range of what can be done. They can be very inspired to know that a huge bristlecone pine can be fabricated right outside their back door that can encompass a large screen TV and block the sun from any reflective problems that might otherwise make watching TV outside difficult; all while still blending seamlessly into the existing landscape. Or perhaps a hot waterfall to soothe the sore muscles from a difficult day. Caverns, wine cellars, and interesting bas-reliefs are other options.

Models & Concepts

One of the best tools for explaining a design and getting it executed accurately is a model and/or concept drawings. We’re able to put together a design agreement and work out all challenges that a difficult design may present before running into unexpected expenses in the field. Models examine spatial relationships and potential dangers long before construction begins. This is an incredibly important issue on commercial public works.
