Zoo Habitats

Building environments for animals has deepened a lifelong fascination with the natural world. Understanding how far a species can jump, how deep they dig, how they move through space, shapes every decision we make when designing a habitat — getting it wrong isn't an option when the animals living in it depend on it being right.

The work carries meaning beyond the build itself: several projects have supported breeding programs for species on the brink of extinction. From a visitor's perspective, most people will never see a lion in Africa or a sea lion hunting in the wild — the goal is to create an environment so accurate and immersive that standing in front of it is the next best thing.
